Getting Ready for Hip Hop Hope

You certainly don't need any special training or experience to come to Hip Hop Hope, but we do have a few recommendations for things you can do before camp, to make sure you're extra-ready to go when you arrive.

We encourage teens to get creative in the months leading up to this workshop by generating ideas and poetry that may be incorporated into the project. Think about topics that really matter to you, that you might want to write a rap, poem or hook about; Brainstorm ideas and bring them with you! If you have any special journals, musical and/or percussion instruments, or anything else that inspires you, feel free to bring them with you when you pack for camp.
