School-Year Programs: Arts Workshops

Our arts workshops bring youth together to explore themes of creativity, leadership and community. We've had many successful programs in the past and are currently engaged in several current programs in both Seattle and Victoria. Our school-year programs are designed to serve students from 7th to 12th grade.
We strive to create a safe and supportive environment where youth can:
- Build and experience positive community
- Learn different forms of self-expression
- Talk about important topics in their lives
- Explore ways to take action in their community
The art forms we use to explore the above themes are:
- Visual art techniques such as drawing, painting, oil-pastels, mural-making
- Theater Improv and Theater of the Oppressed
- Improvisational Dance and Hip Hop Dance
- Creative Writing
- Spoken Word Poetry
- African Drumming
Our curriculum is creative and customizable. We can bring you a program that's two hours long, or one that stretches across three days. Workshops can be adapted to many different youth populations and organizations. You can get an idea of they types of programs we can create for you by reading about some of our past(link) or current(link) school-year programs.
School-year programs are currently available in Seattle, Washington, and Victoria, British Columbia. We'd love to talk with you about bringing Power of Hope arts workshops to your youth and students.
