Power of Hope facilitation trainings provide youth workers, teachers, trainers, artists and volunteers with tools that bring learning alive and build ad in groups. You will learn arts-based techniques that increase emotional intelligence, self-esteem, and authentic expression. And you’ll discover how your own creativity can sustain you in your work and life.
Power of Hope’s unique model of group facilitation combines a deep understanding of group process with a keen awareness of the role creative expression plays in bringing individuals and groups alive. Our trainings provide best practices based on over a decade of leading model programs and conferences for intercultural groups of teens and adults.
Power of Hope trainings are based on the belief that everyone is creative and you don’t have to be a professional artist to use arts-based practices in your work with youth or adults. These trainings provide a rich opportunity to build community with colleagues in a fun and creative way.
Express Yourself! Creative Facilitation I
You will develop basic skills using arts-based practices to facilitate groups and receive a tool-box of easy-to-lead activities. You will gain confidence in your own creativity and learn how to:
Use creative techniques to build group cohesion and enliven learning
Develop safe environments for authentic communication
Learn techniques that inspire full participation
Weave theatre, storytelling, creative, writing, visual arts, music, and movement into your program
Ignite your own creativity
The Art of Facilitation - Creative Facilitation II
In this training the spotlight will be on you as the facilitator. You will gain presentation skills and learn how to move a group towards its highest potential. You will learn how to:
Help groups bond and stay on track
Work with group energy and focus the group’s attention
Connect emotionally with the group
Build self confidence in your group leadership
Engage challenging participants
Cost
$195 for one workshop
$350 for two-workshop series
