Peggy is a writer, musician and creative development specialist with a gift for designing and facilitating programs for diverse groups. She is co-founder of Power of Hope and Interim CEO of Power of Hope’s parent organization Partners for Youth Empowerment (PYE Global), an international training organization dedicated to supporting communities globally in providing arts empowerment programs for their youth. Peggy co-authored PYE’s book: Catch the Fire: An Art-Full Guide to Unleashing the Creative Power of Youth, Adults, and Communities.
A master teaching artist, Eduardo Mendonca has inspired young people at Power of Hope Camps since the beginning. A native of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, Eduardo holds a masters in arts education from the Music Institute of the Catholic University of Salvador. He is music director of the international performance ensemble, Show Brazil! and heads his own Kirkland, WA based company, Show Brazil! Productions which promotes Brazilian culture and provides Portuguese voice-over talent for CD-ROMS and videos exported to Brazil.
Alan is an innovative educator and artist who has organized and facilitated hundreds of creative leadership trainings and retreats for teens and adult youth workers in North and South America. He worked with the Power of Hope organization for over eight years, where he served as Program Director and Lead Facilitator. Alan received a BA from Evergreen State College and an MSW from University of Washington. Alan has long been a Lead Facilitator for Power of Hope Camps and a lead trainer for PYE’s Creative Facilitation trainings for adults.
