The Power of Hope was invited to kick off the start of the “Integrating the Arts Across Curriculum” class at the Islandwood Graduate Program on Bainbridge Island in January. Kat, Devon and Jackie Amatucci joined the class to lead an interactive workshop presentation about Power of Hope methods of engaging youth creatively in classrooms. Theater improv and creative writing were the spotlight for the day, as well as community-building to help the classmates gel for a semester of learning and teaching together. It was a blast, and at the end of the workshop, one of the participants remarking about how great it was to connect with her team in this way, said that it felt like “a two-hour hug!”
